FSSAI license renewal is filed on the FoSCoS portal against your existing license number, before the current license expires. The application reuses your registered details, so most of the work is confirming nothing has changed and reattaching current documents. LexComply files the renewal and tracks the expiry date so it is not missed.

The FSSAI license cost depends on which license tier applies to your business and how many years you pay for at once. Basic registration, a State license and a Central license each carry a different annual fee, published by FSSAI. The government fee is separate from any filing support you engage.

The tier is decided by turnover and by what the business actually does. Smaller operations take Basic registration, mid-sized ones a State license, and businesses operating across states, importing, exporting or manufacturing at scale need a Central license. Getting the tier wrong means refiling, so the activity is assessed before applying.

Log in to FoSCoS with the account holding the license, open the renewal application against that license number, confirm your business details and reattach current documents. The portal calculates the fee due. Payment is made online and the renewed license is issued against the same number.

The renewal fee follows the annual fee for your license tier, multiplied by the number of years renewed. Filing late, or after the license has expired, changes the amount payable. The current figures are shown on the FoSCoS fee page and again on the renewal screen before payment is confirmed.

Almost every commercial establishment does, including offices and businesses with no shopfront at all. The Act that applies is your state's, not a central one, so the registration route, the renewal cycle and the records you must keep differ by state. LexComply files state-wise and tracks each renewal.

An Import Export Code is the ten-digit registration issued by the DGFT that a business needs before it can import into or export from India. It is required before the first consignment moves. Some sectors also need APEDA or MPEDA registration alongside it, which LexComply files together.

It covers businesses that manufacture, import, pack or sell goods by weight, measure or number, and the dealers and repairers of weighing and measuring instruments. The same Act governs the declarations that must appear on pre-packed commodities. Registration is granted state-wise, and LexComply handles registration, renewal and packaging declarations.

CDSCO regulates drugs, cosmetics and medical devices in India, for both manufacture and import. Medical devices are classified by risk, and the class decides which approval route applies. Clinical trial and new drug applications follow separate routes. LexComply supports manufacturing and import license applications and post-market compliance.
